Black Ops 2 Breaks Pre-Order Records

COD Black Ops 2

May is finally here and along with the nice weather comes Black Ops 2. Activision’s next yearly Call of Duty release will be Black Ops 2, developed by Treyarch. One would imagine gamers would grow tired of a yearly Call of Duty game, but for the fourth year in a row this year’s Call of Duty is breaking pre-order records. Modern Warfare 2 started the trend three years ago by becoming GameStop’s highest pre-order reservation title ever. This record was broken again the following year by Black Ops, which was later broken by Modern Warfare 3 the year after. With all of these Call of Duty releases breaking records each year, it’s apparent the COD franchise is gaining momentum instead of fading away like most games do.

Day one pre-orders for Black Ops 2 are already ten times higher than what Black Ops sold its first day. Modern Warfare 3 was Amazon’s most pre-ordered game ever. It is in the top 20 most pre-ordered product on all of Amazon, including books, movies, and other non-video games. Black Ops 2 has already surpassed MW3 in this claim to fame and is quickly becoming the most pre-ordered product.

The Black Ops 2 release date is set for November 13, 2012. Don’t waste your time standing in line at midnight to get your copy, pre-order Call of Duty Black Ops 2 online, today.
